Hey guys,

I've just kitted my Da out with a very nice little AM1 cube setup but now he's moaning about the 'noise'. To be fair it's mainly the 2x cheapy 80mm Arctic's I fitted, the stock 120mm CoolerMaster doesn't seem too bad? Nor do the stock cpu fan and the Corsair psu fan :D

So anyway, I know the AM1 produce almost ) heat but he does like to know things are getting the right cooling so can you spec me a powerful but silent 120 to draw air in from the front and a pair of reasonably powerful but silent 80's to draw air in from the side.

No budget as such but within reason :)

Thanks.

I'd try just turning off the noisy fans and see how it affects temps. No point adding fans when they aren't needed.

Try the whole thing passive, or just use the stock cooler fan. These chips don't get hot at all and require next to no cooling.
