Cube Gear shifter screwed, need help

Normally, I'm quite capable sorting this sort of thing myself, but I think I need help here. I have this bike:

The left hand shifter for the chainset is completely borked and needs to be replaced. I may as well replace the cable while I'm at it. Can anyone tell me what I need to buy and maybe send me some links to get it?

Any help gratefully received.

Looks like your current one is: Shimano SLX M7000 2/3-Speed Front Shifter Clamp with Front Display.

Do you actually use 3 at the front? If not you could just go 1x10.

Yeah, I do use all three at the front. Would you be able to suggest any links? It feels like a bit of a mine field.

The difference will be how it clamps on to your handle bar, some versions directly and some incorporate the brakes.

Mine are separate, I've taken the brake handle off and it's currently dangling.

What is the problem you're getting?

Quite rare for them to fail completely.

Any clicks out of it?

Had a bit of a fall and it's currently in more than it's designed pieces.

Ah that's no fixable then

Shimano lists the newer M6000 and M7000 as compatible with older M610 front derailleurs.

Your shifter will have a part number on it if you are trying to source like for like will be SL-M660/670.

I've gone for your link plus a new cable. Thank you very much for your help, I'm not sure if have got there on my own

Shifter will come with an inner cable installed too.

Happens, I had a 7 month old shifter stop shifting completely. One of the internal springs had snapped giving no resistance at all to trigger shifts. So it was stuck in the high gear no matter what.
