Just thought I'd put a quick update. Its taken me forever to get around to finding a tape measure and actual creating the drawings.
I know it doesn't look much, but its a start which is further than I normally get

(measurements are the hardest part)
Here is this evenings work on the backpanel. I've spent plenty of time moving m-itx motherboards and gfx cards around, but here is the drawing (slight change of plans though as I'm 5mm short of having a 2nd PCI slot)
I've quickly coloured the areas left that need the most work.
- Dark grey is where the PSU used to go and where I guess I'm going to have to fit it unless I go pico.
- light grey is where the 80mm fan fits.
Now I'm up for suggestions here. I could just fit a 92mm fan, though it would limit the amount of space I have to move around - is it worth it? Do you think I should stick with the traditional feel of the original case and put the grill in as part of the panel or just leave a circle without any grill (would normall do this on other cases, but I'm not sure)?
All suggestions are welcome.
Only once the backpanel is sorted can I move to the front which I will keep as true as possible to the original though I'm going to have to change some of the input holes. Then comes motherboard tray - this is fairly easy and the hdd/optical tray at the top should give me room for a nice CPU heatsink once we're done.
Will update more as I get around to it. I'd like to have atleast some perpex templates up by the end of September. Fingers crossed!
