Cumulative Update KB4524147 Windows 10 v1903 build 18362.388 - Oct. 3

I said "pretty sure" and that is what tenforums are saying also (the MS Rep resides there) and it will be one of multiple KB's.

Would seem its only offered to certain build number and fails for some dependent on builds numbers (if they download manually).

Just so you guys are aware, MS beta tests their security release prior to patch Tuesday on those who manually press the 'check for updates' button.

I stopped checking for updates (was checking daily) and now only do it on the patch Tuesday.

In other words, these updates you probably dont want to apply and just leave it until Tuesday.

Mine auto checks everyday, and this one has just popped up, with Pending Download, and a Download Now button, think i'll hold off :p

EDIT: I don't use Internet Explorer anyway.

Anyone know why ive got a Yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it, next to Updates Available at the top ?

EDIT:

According to the web KB4524147 is not to prepare for the next windows update.

"This security update includes the Internet Explorer scripting engine security vulnerability (CVE-2019-1367) mitigation and corrects a recent printing issue some users have experienced."

Source.

Yeah this is the one. :)

If its saying its Required, i guess it has to be installed then ? (although saying that, if its required, why doesn't it install automatically then :p)

EDIT: Says at the bottom, that it should download and install automatically through the wsus, so i don't know why it hasn't for me.

Im pretty sure the last one its on about too, came through as an Optional for me, and i never installed it.

Here, I report long and heavy installation of this update, no way it's just that minor IE fix plus a printing issue.......

That means nothing with Windows 10 updates - I've had small updates take 6+ hours to complete and big updates take 10 minutes and vice versa :(

It is one of the reasons I hate forced automatic updates.

That is something not working properly with your system.
Several days ago I tried to uninstall the Radeon Settings via the Programs and Features but it stopped at 0% and never recovered.
I was forced to use DDU which gave BSOD and again the whole computer stopped responding.
I needed to hard restart and then after the new clean Radeon Settings installation, I was greeted with "The driver was not successfully installed"....

lol and horror

I guess DDU cleared some registry lines which can no longer be recovered and I will forever stay with this type of experience when trying to update the graphics package.

edit: The driver works but what forces it to give fake messages, I do not know..........

I have around a dozen systems on 10 and also service a bunch of systems - it is something I've seen across Windows 10 as a whole.

Something I find hilarious with 10 is that I have two identical 2 in 1 tablets which run a mirror image of each other aside from some differences in terms of web-browser use and so on and the experience with 10 has no consistency between them - installing the exact same update might break something on one while it works fine on the other even straight after refreshing them off the same image.
