Cupra R LSD?

Thought so.

We are discussing out Hill challenge on the way to work and traction from the start was highlighted as an issue :p

LSD is not the same thing as ESP.

LSD - Limited Slip Differential

ESP - Electronic Stability Program (I think)

LSD is something which is found inside the gearbox..

Braking the wheel with the least traction therefore transfering more torque to the wheel with most traction simulating the effect of a machanical LSD... or words to that effect :p

Electronic Differential Lock.

The electronic differential lock (EDL) permits smooth, comfortable starts on road surfaces that do not have a uniform coefficient of friction. If a wheel starts to spin, EDL brakes it as necessary so that power is transmitted to the wheel with the better traction. EDL reduces tire wear and works up to about. 40 km/h (quattro®: up to about 80 km/h). EDL is part of the electronic stabilization program (ESP) and the traction control (ASR).

Some could say its just TCS with a fancy name but TCS works by regulating the engines output by cutting spark this keeps the power on but brakes the wheel which is spinning and puts the power to the other one until that spins then at a guess the TCS does its job.

Really they just stop power going to the wheels than actually increasing traction like an LSD does
