OK, so just reading the news this morning....

I know we have some people from that town here, is it really that bad that there is a 9pm curfew in place?

A curfew is in place on the streets of Sheffield, but nobody appears to be paying much attention. It is past 9pm, the designated time when, since August, gangs of under-16s are banned from being out in the city’s Page Hall area. A police van trundles past.

'groups' of under 16s in a single area. It is no big deal and is done in a lot of places around England with the younger teens.

Page Hall is S4. About a mile or two down the road (going away from the city centre) from Burngreave.

I used to live there when I was a kid, but moved out around 1980 as my parents saw the area going down the pan.

Now what happened to them is happening to the current residents of Page Hall.

It's a city, so a small area of it isn't really reflective of the city as a whole.

I've just moved away from Sheffield, lived in S1 for 18months and S10 for just over 2 years. Never knew anything about a curfew, but then I'm not under 16 or was living any areas where it was a problem.

As has been said, it's a small group in a small area - a non-event really.

Didn't even know about this, but then again i live on the edge about 2 minutes from the peak district (5 miles from S2) so it's pretty far away from any of this.
