Current BE* Customers, 2 months free!

How are you paying nothing? I know on there first birthday they were offering 1 years free broadband to a limited amount of customers in there retail stores some time ago
I signed up online via quidco, then I found out about that 12 month free promotion a day later. So I called them and quoted the code and they accepted. So I actually got paid £150 for signing up :p

Nice one I'm on the £12.50 offer already but thanks for the heads up

Although 'Be' are currently down in Stevenage which is a first in my two years with them

posting from my iPhone at the moment :)

I initially managed to get 2 months free + £12 per month, however their wording was "extend your contract by 12 months".. I now have confirmation I will only be tied into a 12 months contract.. So a great result for me, BE are great and @ £12 a month for BE Unlimited you cant go wrong..

Thanks for the heads up - i've raised a ticket as i'm currently on the £17.50 per mth deal, i've aksed for them to match O2's £12 per mth and 2 mths free/

Raised a ticket yesterday and they have just emailed me back offering 2 months free and to go down to the value package at £13.50 per month. Might as well go for this cos I can only get 5 MB download speeds.

If they can reduce the 17.50 to £12, then surely they can offer you something better on the 13.50 package? Otherwise you will be better off staying on unlimited for £12...

Got it sorted, thanks for the heads up about this deal, very rarely visit the Be forums and so had no idea.

I can advise you to contact our Cancellation department - 08081013425 , and they can try to make an offer for you , but I do not guarantee for sure

Hmm....

edit double post.

Thanks to this thread guys, i manage to drop my monthly to £10 from £13.50 with first 2 months free on new 12 month contract. Not looking to leave be in near future so I wasn't really bothered about renewing the contract anyway.

DAMN! Just seen this thread. I've been with Be for nearly four years on their Value package, currently paying £13.50 a month. I presume you send tickets via their website?

i'm on BE - Home ( i take it this is Unlimited ?) - £17.50pm , do you think i should open a ticket?

Definitely!

On a related theme, whilst I'm on an 8 Meg tariff, I ran a speed test a couple of days ago and it came back with nearly 10 Meg! This was early on Sunday morning. I used to struggle to get 5 Meg. Are they free-ing up their bandwith and loosening the restrictions, of is it likely to be a one-off?

Hmmm, well I spoke with some chap on the Indian subcontinent. He said that they could do the £12 Unlimited deal, but I had to sign up for a further 12 months, no two free months. Was a bit sceptical, but went for it anyway. Then he said I could only expect a max of 14 meg, and that it was currently showing 11 meg. Oh, and they could drop me back to Value, but I'd dtill be committed to a further 12 months! I was pretty annoyed that he hadn't mentioned max speed before, as I'd asked a few questions around it. I left it at that, but I wasn't happy...

Last I checked they were in Bulgaria, not India, but yes - you'll only get what your line can do and that's no fault of theirs. Think yourself lucky - I'm on Unlimited and only get 7.5MB (line is capable of more but my router isn't and the O2 box can't do the custom DNS configuration I use).

Missed the free months (and missed out on them when I joined too), but I've already got the £12 deal so it's not all bad.
