Hi

My friend is running a LAN party next week and the breaker box in the hall has 100A in total for the plug sockets. There will be around 60 PCs with a screen each, and a few projectors, consoles etc thrown in there.

The Acer monitor in front of me is rated at 1.5A but I'm pretty sure it won't draw that unless under maximum load. Similarly I'm guessing a PC won't draw more than 1.5Amps (if each machine is say 650w).

Can anyone give me a good estimate of the total power or amps required, and will 100A be enough for everyone?

Thanks

you need to allow 2-4 amps per PC, 2 is about an average rig, 4 for a high end one. Multiplay allowed 2.5amps average per person at there 2000 person LANs, this was when 280s were the top dogs
