just curious to see what games i will be able to play at a high or max res and detail my new system could cope with.

im sure my new system could hack HL2 at full as my current 3200 Barton, 1gb Crucial and 12mb 6800nu can play at 1440x900 with a mix of medium/high detail.

im getting BF 2142 and FEAR extraction Point soon, might also get Prey and Crysis in the very near future

p4 3.2HT 4yrs old now, bless it
2.5gb ram
7900GS 512mb AGP

atm im indulging in some MTW2 , BF2142 and Double Agent(game sucks tbh)

i can run all the games above 1280*res full detail,bloom,4*AA with great fps

that help ?

AMD 64bit 3000
512mb Ram
ATI Radeon 9800xt

I play pretty much anything on it currently:
CS:Source
Need For Speed Carbon

play CS on quite low detail as fps is important for multiplayer, just left NFS:C on default settings and it runs fine.

Thinking I've probably got the worst PC on the forums :(

Dell XPS M1710
2.13GHz Core-Duo
7900GTX Go
2GB RAM

I play WoW mostly but at 1920x1200 with 2x AA and 16x Aniso. Can play FEAR just fine at 1600x1200 if I turn off soft shadows.

AMD 64bit 3200
2Gb RAM
7600GS

Currently playing Just Cause

I'd expect your system should cope with all those games on Med/High settings with the exception of Crysis.

Assuming you will be using the same resolution, your new system should be able to handle most games on high settings. Oblivion will chug in some areas but I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I'm on a Sempron 2600 if that makes you feel any better :p

rig is in sig.

Can play Oblivion at either 1440 x 900 or native res of 1920x1200 ws (i think thats its native res anyway) Havent finished tweaking Oblivion yet but atm im getting between 40 - 60 indoors and between 20 - 60 outdoors (vysnc is on atm) But things like the long grass (which i dont like) ill be turning off...same with some shadows but pretty much everything else high very high. Not decided but probably with HDR instead of bloom and aa 2x.
Is there an option for AF in oblivion? Or is it in my graphics card? worth switching it on?

Fear multiplayer. played at 1440 x 900 ws maxed or native res with slightly reduced settings with no problems at all. On wireless as well and its fine :)

Company of Heroes. What a great game this is :) I play it at 1440 x900 everything maxed except maybe shadows. Looks gorgeous and plays great *except* if i am changing the angle of view to a more spectacular view because it slows it down a bit. Also the in game cutscenes stutter quite a bit (but they look gorgeous also)

downloaded bf2142 demo played at 1600x1200 and its stuttering low fps i think also seemed more hdd access. reduced it to 1024x768 (either that or 800x600) with everythin maxed out. runs fine looks ok i guess but i havent played bf2 so cant compare. The air gunships look quite nice.

Still, I can play NFS:C, BF2142 and CS:S :)
