So im looking to ween myself off console gaming and have been contemplating a beastly watercooled rig for a while now but iv realized i just dont need that sort of power in a machine to start with so have lowered my expectation a bit.
Realistically i could spend upto £1700 on a machine but i just dont know what to go for in terms of mobo + processor. Id be looking at 16gb RAM, Nice Nvidia 980 series card, 2 SSD's 120gb/500gb, 80+gold PSU and the biggest AIO cooler i could find all in a nice case
Haswell still seems solid with 4790k but does skylake actually offer any benefits? Apart from haswell been the older chip?
I can spec something similar to OCUK Envy or Envy S - just need help deciding. I wouldn't be constantly changing parts, atleast for a couple of years.
Monitor KB+M & headset are already taken care of
