Well i bought myself a logitek steering wheel and pedal set last week with the intention of getting back into racing games. I used to love them as a kid !

Is there any good current ones out ? im not a big fan of arcadey type games, i like real setups, real physics, etc.

There's nothing more to add really. It's between LFS and rFactor, and most people prefer one or the other.

I'm an rFactor fanboy myself. Mainly as LFS is totally closed to modders, and rFactor is deliberately written in a way to make it as editable as possible. There are a tonnes of medium-quality mods, and a few gems, such as 1979 F1 cars, Porsche 911 GT3s, 1955 F1s, Renault Megane series etc.... Head to www.rfactorcentral.com to check out the mods available.
 
Race 07 is pretty good - there's a great selection of cars and tracks to drive including Formula 3000. Definitely well worth checking out.

Dirt is the typical codemasters arcadey rubbish. I cannot drive codemasters games, the driving model always feels waaay off for me.

Race 07 looks good, and uses the ISI (rFactor) physics and gMotor 3d engine.
