My HTPC is of the following spec:

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180 2GHz Socket 775
Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2H iG33 Socket 775
OCZ 2GB DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400
ASUS 256MB GeForce 8600GT
Windows 7 64-Bit Ultimate

When I attempt to run 1080p MKV media, the video is out-of-sync with the audio, as in audio plays before the video... is this because I need a new CPU or a new graphics card? It's only outputting to a 1024x768 via VGA.

The weird thing is, this isn't a problem with 720p. But with 1080p, it stutters... I am using Klite Code Pack....

I am using Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic. Both giving me the same issue with 1080p content.

Dump Klite and uninstall it would be my first action.

Download Shark007 x64 codecs from here.

Then use what ever player you feel like using. Also try installing XBMC and see how they play on there.

Well... seems to have fixed it now.

Installed CCCP codecs and using CoreAVC as well.
