Current kernel version??

[Edward78]

It is 2.6.36 right? I have 2.6.32-xx not sure what the end # is. I have Ubuntu 10.04 & when a update comes, it tells me, then I get it.

http://www.kernel.org for latest release numbers and yep current stable release is 2.6.36.

Why is it not availible for Ubuntu yet??

Ubuntu will tweak to make it work with their OS without issue, then release it as part of an Os patch... others will have a more technical answer for you.

Still they are a bit behind at 2.6.32.

Possibly a good excuse to start compiling your own kernels? Will keep you occupied for several hours at least

Hehe, why do you think I chose Ubuntu, ease of use.
