Well, all I can think is the stick is drawing >500mA power from the port and you're getting a warning about that. Can you try a different port - they're usually in pairs, two USB ports off one header, unplug anything else you can for now and see if the error goes away. If you have a separate powered hub use that (with only the stick plugged into it).

No difference I am afraid! The stick uses 12.8 watts max.

I wonder if the stick is giving the error as it was not working properly /erratic/wild movements, on my old system ?

Ok getting windows error now "A USB device has exceeded the power available on the port" You are given the option to reset or port will stop working. The USB ROOT HUBS (6) are all showing 55mA power per port ? These hubs are all self powered

Ok, this might suggest the stick is causing the problem ....

the solution for power surge on usb hub is

Electrical surge on hub port. Either a device attached to the port, or the port itself, has drawn more current than allowed, and the hub turned off the port. The port will not function correctly until you reset it. If the device is the cause, it must be detached before resetting the port. To reset the port, disconnect the device, and then click Reset in the dialog box. If the port is the cause, close the dialog box, and do the following to re-enable the port:
Disconnect the hub.
Re-attach the hub.
If it is the root hub, unplug all attached USB devices from the computer, and (if they have power supplies) unplug them from the electric supply. After a few moments, reconnect the devices. The computer can be restarted at any time.
