My rig is in my sig, and it is starting to struggle in some games, I play at 1080p, so was wondering what you guys think would be the best thing in it to upgrade? I was thinking of going for a 280x or a 290? I think my PSU will be okay? Just wondering if the CPU will be much of a bottleneck? As I don't really have the funds to do both.

Yeah, your GPU needs an upgrade. The 280X or 290 is a good choice.
But if you are on a REAL budget, the 7950 would suffice and give you decent results.

Thanks for the input, I think I can stretch to a 280x, hoping it will last me as long as my 5770 has, any idea on if I will have a big bottleneck with the X4 965 though?

The CPU will be a fair bottleneck but you will see a big improvement over the 5770. If you are looking to upgrade the CPU to suit the GPU in the near future may I suggest a 290 instead. it may seem unbalanced to start with but once the bottleneck goes youll be laughing.
