Looking at a reasonibly priced "quiet" case.

The machines just a quad used as a Media centre/NAS/Download box etc and I want to spend a little on making it as quiet as possible.
The machine is already fairly quiet in a cheap nasty case and I am hoping a good shielded case will improve things further.

The http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-164-CM&utm_source=froogle Sile0 500 is the current prefered option but can anybody suggest better for a similar or lower price, note PSU is not an issue as the machine runs with a "silent" no fan PSU.

P180 by a long shot - only takes mATX boards though. Anything else in the P series takes normal ATX boards but you pay a premium for them...

Well when it comes to cases and silencing there are only two things u have to think about firstly its build quality. Build quality is so important the better built the case the less noise the pc should make (less vibrations amplified by the case). Also Silencing material doesn't make a huge difference but it's very good at dampening noise (best way to describe it is it seems to dampen high pitched noises).

Personnally for me if ur going to try and make it silent u at least have to start off with a silverstone or lian li (build quality seems to suffer with the cheaper coolermasters). Also remenber if ur buying a case buying an expensive case can sometimes not be a stupid idea especially when it comes to silencing a pc. I had the same situation as u bought a gigabyte 3d aurora great case but cause the case was "cheap" the aluminium is very thin. Now i have a lian li v2110B (200 quid case) and the difference in noise is amazing.

Btw just to check have u replaced ur fans with silent fans and bought a fan controller? Reason why i say as those three will change the db more than anything else.
