Current rig, worth saving?

Having toyed with the idea of buying a new rig, I'm not considering whether it is worth just doing a few minor upgrades to mine instead, though must stress I use the unit for work, so needs to remain working at all times.

This is the spec, apart from maybe a new GPU (such as the GTX 760/770), what else would you recommend I do so it can (just about) cope with BF4 when it officially launches:

Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz
Asus P7P55D Mobo
WD VelociRaptor 150GB HDD
Corsair 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 1600Mhz PC3-12800 Ram
Corsair 650W TX Series PSU
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5

I'm using stock parts and I've never even considered overclocking, but might this be worth it? Is the i5 750 up to the job and enough to keep it current? I wouldn't know where to start tbh!

You dont mention what GFX card you have?

Sorry, added in to original post now. Probably didn't mention it as it is quite old and knew it would need replacing for games like BF4.

I want an SSD no doubt, but swapping operating systems at the moment would require downtime that I can't risk. I usually just buy a whole new PC then sell the old bits when transferred across, but I'm just looking at what I can do on a basic level to keep this one ticking over for a year or so.

I wonder if I could install an SSD as a secondary drive and switch between the boot in bios so I can slowly install Windows and set up over a few days?
