Can anyone recommend the Radeon RX 480. I am currently saving up for a new GPU.

My current set up:

Intel I5-4460 3.2hgz Quad Core
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 650ti
PSU: EVGA 600B Bronze 500watt
Ram: 12GB DDR3 (2X6)
SSD: 120GB Sandisk
HHD: 2TB SATA III

I hope it does not seem like a daft question but is the rest of my set not too bad? I have been away form pc's for a while now but since getting this new one want to get back into it.

the 480 will be miles better than the 750ti, you would need a 2nd hand 970 to be worthwhile not to choose the brand new 480

RX 480 for sure. It's the current generation of hardware and comes with a minimum of 4GB VRAM. The 750Ti only has 2GB VRAM. It's comparable to the 970, which is miles better than a 750Ti.

Like others have said, I'd wait for the custom RX 480s to arrive (should be 2-3 weeks), but if you don't mind about the bleeding edge the 4 gb RX 480 is a damn good value proposition at £189.

If you wait then for about £60 you'll get ~20% performance increase (counting OC), 4 gb more vram, much quieter & cooler, DVI ports.

Sorry Lee I have not heard about the power issue. What is the problem with it? Like I say I am starting again will PC so this is all new to me.

Some people are saying it draws too much power from the pcie slot. But as far as I know nobody has come forward saying it's had any kind of impact on their system. It's just a bunch of people making a fuss over nothing imo.
