Having just brought myself into modern times with graphics (1070), I was wondering what games are a particularly nice balance of graphics and gameplay to go through? Currently enjoying playing a bit of Doom again with everything at ultra which is very pretty.

Rise of the Tomb Raider? Deus Ex MD? Other ideas...?

Less interested in pure eyecandy with rubbish gameplay, and more looking for some enjoyable immersion to treat myself with.

Dishonored 2, Witcher 3 + expansions, Metro Last Light, Dying Light + expansion, Shadow Warrior 2, Doom, Crew Wild Run, SOMA, GTA V, Evil Within, Alien Isolation

Can recommend every single one, finished all.

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor and Far Cry 4. A couple of years old but still look stunning, will be fairly cheap now and are great games. The Metro Redux series (2033 and last light) also fall into that category.

100% Fallout 4 - Haven't been so amazed from a game in ages

Overwatch is nice if your into MP ( but the concept art isn't jaw breaking graphics quality )

BF1 (haven't tried the SP though)

GTA V, Dying light, Middle Earth and Witcher 3 as stated above.

Deus EX is beautiful after the Dubai mission gameplay gets better (bad console port though so you might need to tweak settings)

Project Cars or Asset Corsa if your into racing games.

Graphics can be subjective, some of the supposedly best graphics games have failed to impress me, especially with the ubiquitous performance issues they have, e.g. Deus Ex mankind Divided - brilliant game if you can run it.

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor is great alright.

Titanfall 2 is great too, gameplay is brilliant.
