From Frank Miller and Thomas Wheeler, Cursed is a reimagining of the Arthurian legend told from the perspective of Nimue (Katherine Langford). All episodes of Cursed arrive July 17th on Netflix.
 
Looks interesting - but yet another show were people are living in mud huts but have perfectly pristine clothes - come on costume designers, you could at least rub some mud in!

great floki literally is in it because the guys a crap actor who can only play himself, I suspect he watched a bit too much of the crystal maze when he was young because that must be how he learned acting.

I'm getting the impression they shoot the background of a scene and then they shoot the foreground after.

cos most the scenes seem really weird including the people in the background.

this is some woke crap the amount of asians and black people in this time period? less believable than the magic.

yea 0 Chinese people would have been in England at the time this series is set with the romans recording so few visits.

you know how long it took to get from china to rome :D possibly over a year if the wind was not with you yet they obviously came to England and had a hell of a lot of sex it seems

pretty sure every scene with more than 2 people has some BAME theme going on.

could you imagine if someone made a tv series about the english zulu war but the zulus 50% of them are Caucasians , Asians and Arabs?

cos it would make as much sense as this rubbish.

I don’t have a problem with the diverse cast, my problem with it is it’s ****. Episode 3 currently but I don’t think I’ll continue.
 
Watched the first two episodes and I'm confused as to why everyone speaks modern English and, over a thousand years before Columbus' parents were even conceived, are constantly using Americanisms. Also, are we supposed to ignore the fact, Netflix have gone even more mental and made Arthur black whilst Uther, his Father, is white and about the same age?

arthur being black isn;t a problem.

the merlin series had a few black people and it didn't detract from the show they probably got hired based on auditions that were open to white or black people.

this wokeflix series they clearly are purposely putting so many different ethnicities that make no sense in the time period it just seems weird.
maybe its trying to "educate" people so the people growing up watching this assume that was actually how racially diverse England was a thousand + years ago.
 
Watched it all over the last two days. In fairness it was quite enjoyable in a formulaic way. I do wonder if they could have come up with a better plot than "the sword of power". I mean come on, its 2020 and we've all seen LOTR, GoT. Can't say I'm busting for SE2 but I'll watch it when it comes out.

Before you get an aneurysm from your wokeness outrage, try to remember that this is fictional mythology, not historic fact. FFS, there is magic, and fae.

it's still based in a real world country/location not some mythical one with diversity qoutas

It is literally based in a mythical world. Soon as you introduce magic and mythical creatures, realism good out the window.
 
Well, I quite enjoyed it. It does what it's supposed to do which is entertain me.

A bit confusing as to what audience they were seeking. Starts off like a young/teenager show, then people get crucified and set on fire, heads are chopped off, throats slashed and blood everywhere. Especially the scene when she confronts the wolves and blood goes all over the camera - even I thought that was a bit unnecessary! So maybe not for kids then?

As far as a fantasy TV show, certainly one of the better ones I've seen (Shannara Chronicles being one of the worst by far).
 
Finished it tonight and really enjoyed it - that last episode was a humdinger! :o
Amuses me that some people are outraged because someone mentioned the holy Roman empire in the second episode, which didn't exist until the 12th century (I think) - FFS, it's a fantasy show, it has all sorts of non-humans, loads of magic and they moan because it's not historically accurate?
