Curved monitor TN panel or IPS

which one? i need mostly for gaming fps.

TN will be faster and cheaper, IPS will be a bit slower, more expensive, but the picture quality should be a lot better - better colours compared to washed out TN, and better viewing angles (although not so relevant on a curved display).

If you mean competitive FPS where every ms counts then TN is probably better, but if you don't mind sacrificing a bit of speed (and your budget allows) then an IPS panel will give you a much nicer experience

not looking to become a professional player, just sometimes to kill time. i don't see tn curved, mostly flat. curved or va or ips. just want to change old aoc 60mhz. any suggestions, budget £200-250.

Also is there a particular reason you want curved? I would say there's no point really below 32" (or 29" ultrawide).

At that budget and looking at >100hz I think you're going to be limited to either a 27" 1440p IPS, or a VA panel. There are some 2560x1080 29" IPS LG panels around that price range, but they are only 75hz I believe.

Edit:

This is a bit over budget, but seems like a bit of a bargain:

Also potentially worth looking at the B-Grade section to see if anything takes your fancy, and dropping an offer to @NikTheSHNIK as per this thread:

There's probably a higher chance of getting a poor panel since they are customer returns, but equally you could get a real bargain (my previous monitor was B-grade and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it - didn't even look like it had been opened).

The LG 27GP850 is a great option for fps gaming with low input lag and fast response time and is currently on offer for £300 reduced down from £380 if you can stretch that far.
