Curved sofas

A friend had a curved sofa.

Positive: The 'corner' seat is more useable than on a corner sofa.

Negative: the footprint of their curved sofa seemed bigger than a corner sofa/separate sofa and chairs. Though that could just be down to the model of sofa they got.

We where looking at sofas recently and some of the ones in DFS are ridiculously massive in size. I'd highly recommend taping out the size of the sofas on our floor to get a good idea of how big the sofa actually is as they seem to grow in size from the shop warehouse environment to your front room. We ended up getting 2 four seater sofas from furniture village.

In hindsight a corner sofa would have saved space in our front room, however the discount we managed to get on the 2 four seaters made the total cost about 65% of the corner sofa in the same range. Furniture village where more willing to give us a discount on the four seaters than the corner sofa suggesting the four seaters weren't as popular.

We've been looking at stuff lately as we don't want a full on corner sofa, but want something with a bit of a 'kick' at the end as such.

A few years ago we saw a lovely sofa in the Bo Concept showroom in Bristol that was perfect, it had a wedge end to it which would be ideal.

Closest thing we've ever seen to it is something like this

There's loads of sofas now with larger/straighter chaise type ends, but we won't want anything that pronounced.

Yeah I realise they all look massive, a lot bigger than normal sofa's. My living room is 5.4m x 4.2m so should be able to fit one. Will have a look around.
