Custom AIO Performance vs AIO

I am curious to know if this setup would perform better than a corsair 150i pro. I have a 8086k that I will be pushing to 5Ghz without question (other than system stability). I initially thought of the corsair 150i pro but I thought the radiator thickness seemed lacking and would not provide as much cooling as a thicker one. I then came across a post in the forums of alphacool radiator of about 40-45mm in thickness but had a bequiet! pump. This made me very interested if I could make my own custom CPU only AIO (for now).
I came up with the above in photo setup. Only things missing is the cooling liquid and I have three Noctua NF-F12s I can use on the radiator.

To conclude will the above perform significantly better than off the shelf AIO, or is the effort and slightly increased cost of this setup worth it to gain insignificant increase in performance?

the rad is a hell of a lot better so should dissipate heat a lot better. the only question is, can the pump/block get the heat away from the CPU as a good or better than the AIO option.
i would think it will be as good as the AIO

The corsair 150i pro is a very good unit if you only plan to cool your CPU i would buy the corsair. i have custom water but i also cool my GPU. for just a CPU its just a pain in the ass you dont need.

Yer I would say that its probably better to get a normal AIO, it might still be worth doing your above setup if you plan to add another pump and GPU block to the loop.
