So, a long time ago there was a long thread on custom arcade sticks (linked at the bottom).
It’s long dead, and the vast majority of the images are now expired.
This thread is effectively a more streamlined reboot of that thread, with the emphasis on images.
Maybe a build log or two if you guys have them?
Here’s my effort from around eight years ago. It has not stood the test of time structurally, but I’m hoping to get it all sorted again, just for posterity.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Nelson:-
All MDF, sprayed and lacquered with car paint.
CP roughly 12 inches x 10 inches.
Astro City 1p layout.
PC and PS3 compatible via Cthulhu (a custom PCB for home build arcade sticks).
6 x Sanwa OBSN 30's with clear Seimitsu nuts.
3 x OBSN 24's on the rear.
Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT.
Dust washer simply primed, painted and lacquered, same as the wood.
12 inch USB to keep things tidy.
All cables wrapped.
Neutrik USB chasis mount.
This is an OK effort from someone who was an enthusiastic complete amateur.
There are some examples out there that are absolute works of art.
One guy by the name of Byrdo made particularly amazing looking examples.
So, what have you got, or what have you seen that we should all see?

Edit: Just realised the internals is an image without the back buttons wired up. I’ll replace it with the finished version at some point.
