Custom bookmark/favourite icon things

Can someone tell me what these are called?

or point me to instructions for adding them to a webpage.

they're called favicons

You can do the design in PS and then use the FavIcon Generator to produce the final icon. There are instructions on how to add it to a webpage at the bottom.

Hi there,

Whilst we are on the subject, does anyone know how to add one to a bookmark on the firefox bar, even if the site itself doesn't add on. For instance, Beansprouts uploader doesn't have one, is there anyway I can add a custom one?
