Just put a new build together, and it’s both my first with a tempered glass side panel, and very much my first build worthy of a tempered glass side panel!
So, after some messing about with PSUs, I’ve ended up with a Corsair RM 850x (RMX850?!? People seem to say it both ways?!).
Mira great, but the cables are thick, cumbersome, and ugly.
As everything else has gone well, I figured I might as well make the effort to get some nice looking cables in there too.
To that end, I’m looking for recommendations please?
Are extension cables just as good as custom cables that fit direct to the PSU?
I think I’d rather cables directly to the PSU to save on excess thick cables being squashed into the case anyway.
Are there brands to avoid? Are there brands that are particularly easy/hard to use?
Particularly, as I have a 2080 that takes an 8 and a 6 PCIE cable, are there brands that specifically do just a 6 pin cable?
Every one I’ve seen has a 6+2 plug and therefore has the extra 2 hanging off and not being super clean and tidy.
im not looking for anything super fancy. The build is all black, so black or even a dark grey cable set would be fine.
Lastly, and I’m fairly sure I’m out of luck here... the case cable for the USB 3.0 sockets is a big tick plug that sticks out at a right angle. Is there such a thing as a flexible extension cable I can use to make it look cleaner?
