So for the female pins they go to the motherboard 24pin for example
and the male pins connect to the 24pin? its for extension cables

also would you guys recommend 450 or 550 paracord and what other sleeving would you recommend as i am going to doing all diffrent cables to see what i like best i am not going to be adding them to any of my systems until i know i have got the cables down to a T

Thank you for you time.

Pins are always male, mate. Female would be according socket.
If you want to make sleeving yourself, try MDPC-X from Germany, it's best or one of the best Qualität :) As an alternative there are already made sleeved cables, but some of them would fit directly, like SATA cables, and some of them would be just an extension, like mentioned 24-pin cable:

If you are making extensions, you need male and female pins.

As an alternative to MDPC-X, there is Telios sleeve. Also if you do go with Paracord you want 550.
