Just wanted something a bit different. Open fronted but with a short depth (30cm), as it's resting on my desktop.

Inspired by the Lian Li PC-A17A.

The MB tray came from a Compaq Deskpro EN. It didn't fit in it's original form. No problem for the angle grinder though...

Case is MDF (cut with a flat bed rip saw), covered with earthed aluminium foil on the inside for EMI protection.

The rear has a 3U perf plate leaving 1u for cable exit (front is 4u).

BluRay Writer is external. The BluRay case was modded to accept a 4Pin locking socket as the mini-din connector was flaky. Powered by the computer PSU from a molex connector on the chassis.

Quad core AMD with Munchkin memory running XP.

If you had 2 I would buy one off you, how much did that all cost?

Excluding the MB tray which was free (old Pentium 3 desktop), I'd say the case materials came to about 60GBP with delivery. Total cost incl. electronics & drives came to approx. 600.

This was a one-off, so I don't have any to sell I'm afraid.

If you want something similar without the hassle, just put black rack handles on a Lian Li PC-A17A.
