Hi guys,

I have gone through google with a comb but the words custom PC case just brings up sites that do "custom" PC builds but not cases/chassis.

Does anyone know of any sites / companies that do custom cases? (if allowed to mention??)

Cheers :D

whats that very expensive place...........oh yea Caselabs.

But there is a place that will modify a standard case, you send it to them and they'll cut out windows etc...........respray it as well

google.........``custom painted pc cases uk`` and it's half way down ;);)

this is one service that Overclockers UK need to improve their business.........custom pc case building, especially spraying.

The ones who are "currently not accepting orders"??
I might have found a case that just needs some cutting doing to it.

Great stuff guys!! :D

oh that's not good, but most spray booths will do paint job for you and you can buy loads of modding stuff anyway

Going to ask Parvum for a quote compared to a regular metal cutting site.
Either way will have to build it myself by the looks of things...
Challenge accepted! :D (gulp)

use AutoCad and draw it up, and then send the files to a Laser Cutter
because it'll be very hard to make it yourself from scratch

or buy a really cheap case and mod it yourself and then get it custom sprayed, this is by far the cheapest way

yes they deffo do it because they said they'd build a case for me, but you'd need to supply them with AutoCad files, which are fed directly into the laser cutter, you'd have all the panels laid out side by side on one huge drawing and the laser beam cuts it out, but 5mm steel is way way too heavy, you'd need only 1 mm thick sheet........... heavy duty steel walkway is about 3 to 4mm thick, so 5mm is totally silly.

you'd have to research the price of the Engineering software and learn how to use it, it is very very complicated :eek: i used to do this for a living years ago

its cool, I learnt AutoCAD @ uni, haven't used it in a while, but I still have 08 and I'm sure it'll come back to me once I get going...

i have AutoCad 2010 somewhere, you'll be ok then.

you have to nest the panels very close together so they're less than 5ft x 6ft, because the laser cutter will charge you for the price of the steel sheet .... and also for the overall length of the laser cut..the software tells him instantly

it will therefore be very expensive.... easily 200 quid maybe much more  you think what it has to cut !

this will be a very interesting project, you'll deffo need your own thread for this
