I'm bored. Really bored.
To ease the boredom I've decided that I'd like to tackle building a PC case; this is cheaper and healthier than my other option which would involve drinking more alcohol than the government recommends.
As I've never been much of a sheet metal worker; I have a scar on my arm from working in a factory that made metal shelving units so I want to make a wooden case.
I'm planning on buying a cheapo plastic covered case, removing all the plastic and then cladding the outside in wood. Pretty simple, eh? But as a keen (but very) amateur in the world of PC building I've never built anything that could be remotely classed as "high-end" (meaty GPUs / Water cooling etc) and so I'm not entirely sure what my custom case should have room to accomodate / be designed to accomodate. For example - radiators, is 1 x 120.3 radiator suitable or should I be designing space for 2 of these. Should this be mounted on top (blow hole) or can they be positioned near the base of the unit (below the original metal carcase for example). Reservoirs - any suggestions about volumes of these things and any no-no's with respect to positioning this..
Any advice appreciated
