I got my BFG 8800 GTS 320Mb today!

Well I m impressed with the card already after just testing a few games at max res and max settings :)

Well recommended for anyone who wants to game at 1280x1024.

Anyways, I realised that the GPU gets kinda hot, 77 - 80 celcius. Is there some sort of custom fan I can put on to make the heat come down? I know water cooling is an alternative, but I dont have that kind of cash to splash on water cooling atm.

Recommend me some pls!

does this mean there isnt any custom cooling fan other than the reference one?

Ahh, I didnt see that thread ... thx

Oh one more thing....

Look at the pic, tell me if the nForce temp is errm normal? and then GPU is errm a lil high for idle?

Hrrrm found out a site selling those Zalman water cooling blocks for £55ish tempting, but sadly I dont grow money on trees... :/

Maybe some of u guys/gals have it?

Haha, yea I m obssessed with low temperature, maybe in the past I have been running a lot of low temperatures, so right now I m just a lil more worried.

Actually its true that I should stop being so worried, since the card has a lifetime warranty xD

Ive had my BFG 8800GTS OC2 for a couple of days now, Ive noticed it getting hot. The fan never seems to spin up and Riva tuner does not give me the option to adjust the fan.

Im getting around 80-82c.

is your pc in some sort of a corner of the room?

I had to open my side case for additional airflow, its at 65c idling... on load its around 70c, so after reading tons of threads, I guess its fine. Not bothering me for the time being. But if you are getting 80c, again, nothing to worry abt. After all, its lifetime warranty, haha
