Hi guys, new to these forums, be gentle!

Cracking site here and loving the prices etc.

Anyways, onto my problem, since the OCuK webnote don't work on sundays I'm posting here to see if anyone can shed some light.

Emailed yesterday about getting my custom pc components put together and fired out to myself, not sure I have the expertise atm the put all the pieces together.

All of the components are compatible (can post a list if needed) and i'm just wondering how much would that cost all in?

Thanks in advance. Alan

Now that's a quick reply :)

Another question, I hope this sparks debate!

XP or Vista on this new system? I'd be hoping to run 4Gb mem so 64 bit OS's can do.

thanks for the info, can you link me to the building threads plx :P

I have basic knowledge its just the whole start for first time etc :)

It means 'first in the thread to post' I think.

To the OP. You can post your spec and sombody will comment on it to advise you any little issues that could occur or anything better to add or take away from the build. Then once you have the order you could ask for assistance on how to build it.

Well, there's my list of what i have atm, + and OS which im still deciding.

Uhm, thanks :)

High-End Gaming, browsing intaweb, normal stuff, want something that kinda 'future-proof' for a few years.

22" monitor btw, hope not overkill

Have you already purchased this list,i would change the motherboard for one of these Asus P5Q Deluxe,or the Asus P5Q PRO,you can always add a Wireless NIC if you need on.

Or go for an X38 board if you are thinking of adding a second 4870,that motherboard you have chosen is old tech for the money you are paying, the boards i have recommended have updated PCIe 2.0 for your 4870.

No reason to look further than vista 64bit if you are going to be running with 4gig.

I'd deffinatly go for Vista purely just because it's so much better looking than XP, there are no real problems with it any more either.

Whats wrong with the MoBo atm? MoBo's arent my speciality atm.

Wudnt be thinking of double gfx cards in near future.

You would be paying more for that motherboard which is a P35 ,older tech, than you can get a P45 newer tech,,if you just want to run one card go for the ASUS P5Q PRO.
