Custom dust filters

Save yourself some money & use an old pair of tights from somewhere. I did this to a friend's PC and it works surprisingly well.

That's a blast back to the good old days of bodge it because nothing was available. :D:D:D I am in the process of building my pc into my desk and everything is custom built so I needed either a pair of dust filters or a single huge one for the 2x 200mm fans on the front. Rather than spending £30+ for Demciflex filters I am going to make a frame and stretch a pair of the wifes black tights over it. They really do work surprisingly well as filters and do a much better job at keeping dust out than a lot of off the shelf filters.

Import Demcfilter i think it is www.demcfilter.com either way they are the best on the market easily. OCUK even used to stock plain old filters but they do custom sizes and kits for many popular cases.

Email and ask for sg13 kit. And yes they are worth the premium.

See by the way i sold a card inside an Air 540 for 1114 hours with the kit and its immaculate. The guy told me the person unboxing was convinced it was new. Infact when i look inside this computer most of the components have little to no dust and it has been a year now or more. They pay for themselves in the long run just buy a high quality case with the Demcfilter kit and the next time you upgrade keep the case and filters but wash them.

This is the best advice i can give from experience my next case will be metal so i can better clean it when this time comes.

It will be from South Africa so remember 29 dollars might attract this Royal Mail thiefs premium of £8 per package and the 2.5% tax. So it will not be just 29 dollars but it will still be 100% worth it.

Lovely case that.
