Anyone any links to guides about creating custom facebook pages for businesses etc?

A friend has asked me to look in to it and yes, there seems there are lots and lots of useless guides out there I was hoping someone here had some suggestions that come from experience

And as I requested in the OP, which one of those many many results have you personally used?

Quite a lot of them are half baked rubbish or link to more half baked rubbish.
