Hi all,

Long story short, I bought a case with an inverted motherboard to install fans blowing directly onto my 290x. I then went for a H100i, which took up this space, and either blew hot air into the case and on the GPU, or tempered internal case air through the rad.

My decision was to have a custom H100i radiator stand made, pushing the rad out of the case, to ensure temps weren't affected. I do intend to fit another 2 fans on the front to make a push/pull config, and lift the PC off the floor.

Here's a few photos of it. Im going to patent the design and start selling them!

What do you think?

I like the stand but I'm more interested in the numbers. How much cooler is your CPU under load when using this ?

What cpu are u running

Surely u don't need the stand the 650d was made for the h100
I love the 650d so easy to build In just built a system for a friend in one
What fan are u running in the front

The case is a Bitfenix Outlaw.
FX8350 running a comfortable 4.7GHz. I have a few more tests to run once I get the other 2 fans fitted, but already im seeing a couple of degrees drop over using them in the previous exhaust setup.

I was owed a favour by my local ductwork company, who paid for my design to be laser cut and made

No I don't need the stand. Just interested to know if having the rad fitted externally makes much difference. I'm happy with the set up I have. My front fan is the stock 200mm that came with the 650d, my rad is mounted at the top of my case with the fans as intakes(magnetic dust filters fitted), the only exhaust is the rear. This works well for me. I have a positive pressure in my case and when I come to do my 6 monthly clean, the inside of my case is always virtually spotless. :)

I think the max people will pay is around 20 pounds

I'm personally a fan of external rads, and I know There are some existing external rad stands out there. Your product visually looks very good, quite possibly better than the others.

Might be worth trying a 360 external rad stand as that rad size is less likely to fit into cases, so the demand might be higher.

+1

Although I would prefer it to be in black :D

On a second thought, I think you will be better off make a external stand for H105 instead of a H100i.

Most cases have clearance for a H100i and not a lot for H105.

Given the similar price but the much better performance of H105... I would be much more tempted to get this stand :D

I am painting it Satin black at some point, and i would agree, the design could be altered slightly for the H105i, i would want to sell the H100i then! Lol
