Custom loop temps

Hi all

I currently have a custom loop cooling both CPU and GPU, I did have 2 240mm radiators but decided to take one away. Currently running the loop with 1 240mm rad with 4 fans in a push pull configuration. And wondering if temps are ok or should I look at putting another rad back in?

Idle temps are CPU 32°c GPU 26°c

Under load using heaven CPU 50°c-55°c GPU 51°c-54°c

Specs are

9600k stock
2080ti stock
32gb 3200mhz ram
Asus z390a
Thermaltake x71 case

Separate pump and reservoir

Your temps are reasonable if it is as your list.

I have used a 240mm rad for similar and it does get warm, however this is for ITX builds. However given your in a full tower case, would surely throw more radiator capacity in to be honest and have fans spin at lower RPM's be able to overclock etc.

It was warmer last night but currently have the fans spinning around 1800rpm and while the noise isn't a problem I would prefer to have a medium between noise and cooling. Would adding another 240mm be sufficient? Also I definitely need to replace my fans so what would you recommend to attach to radiators? Would prefer cost effective with rgb aura sync option

to keep it at it's most simple, more radiator means more cooling area, meaning you can keepe the temps down at the same temps which are fine, but more importantly have the fans spin sub 1000rpm, which definitely drops the noise levels down a lot

Many thanks. I've got a spare 240mm radiator so will get some tubing and reinstall. As for fans what about the Arctic p12? Will they be sufficient for the rads?

Also have an xres 100 pump/Res combo I'd like to use to replace the separate pump and reservoir I have atm. However all it's got is 1 inlet and 1 outlet, wondering how I'm supposed to add a drain valve?

p12 pst pwm are nice, and virtually silent below 1000rpm probably best "budget" fan out there for radiators. Drain valve, you're going to need a T or a Y fitting and run short length to a ball valve that you can open and close when you want to drain the system, try and keep it at the lowest point of the loop to keep things easy and neat.

Ok so what's the difference between these 2? As I'd prefer black bladed fans

Arctic p12 Pwm (black bladed)
Arctic p12 pwm pst (white blades)

Both seem to have the same static pressure so wasn't sure if they were the same just different names?

With regards to the drain can I screw a y fitting direct to the 1/4 thread on unit? And would I use inlet or outlet? I'm kind of hoping because my reservoir is ek also that my multi port top cap will screw onto the combo unit. Then I could use that as my inlet and use the comb's inlet as my drain?

So I'm finished installing a second 240mm rad along with pump/Res combo. Also changed fans to the Arctic p12 all set to 70% and it's so much quieter than before. Temps ain't too bad either with CPU idle around 35°c and 53°c under load using cinebench. GPU idle is around 31°c and under load using heaven it's 44°c
