Has anyone added a custom loop into a silverstone raven rv02-e case?

I'll be putting togethe my first loop soon (dual GPU, AMD CPU), and I'll be picking up a case specifically for this.

I was looking at the RV02 case in a shop this morning and it's a great looking case. The rotated mobo is interesting and right sided window fits my desk/room really well.

I've read a few reviews all glowing in praise for the case, it's build quality and temps... All based on air cooling.

I am interested to see if anyone has water-cooled? How did you get on with fitting radiators in? Could you fit with the huge 180mm fans on the floor?

There is only a 120mm outlet at the roof of the case and the card slots, am wondering how that works with warm air from any rads inside the case.

Cheers,

Andy

The raven is built more for air cooling.

For that sort of budget, the Xigmatek elysium would be a much much better choice liquid cooling wise. Though i have to say, the raven looks beautifu. The xigmatek is one of the ugliest cases i have ever seen in my life :p

The reason the motherboard is rotated in the case is so that the heat from the graphics cards goes straight up pout of the case as opposed to into another card, making the case excellent for non reference coolers on gfx cards. For liquid cooling, there's only one really good Silverstone make - the TJ07.

Word on that. :p

The only way would be to get a Raven and experiment with squeezing it all in.
Maybe not the best idea for a first loop.

Cool case in the flesh though - I would like to try a loop more than owning that case however if its one or the other.

Magicool Extreme Triple 180mm x 35mm Slim Radiator is the perfect rad for you, here is how it would fit in your case.

Thats a brilliant rad for the rv02/ft02, impressive surface area. The guys build is excellent as well. My only reservation is the fpi, looks fairly high so not so great for quiet operation.

Isn't high FPI for silence and low FPI for performance or am i getting confused?

From that link there are quite a few build logs.... cheers.

Not sure whether this is a bit adventurous for a first build.... I may just try anyway - and if its not working out, go for something larger.

If anyone sees the 180mm fan based rads on sale in the UK, please give me a nudge.

It'll cost more than the case is worth plus some cooling components to get it delivered here.

Its a nice case, but that's too expensive a work around!

This is my rvo2 white with single rad triple rad 2x 6950 graphic cards and cpu watercooled.

respec' Thats nicely done.

Cleeecooo - I would like to try and avoid an external rad if poss and keep it all in one box.

Am going to pick up this case tomorrow, at least for a trial fit in of my bits and see how much of an ache doing everything else may be.
