So I've been looking at the Ultima Dedsec and have a few questions.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-032-OG&groupid=43&catid=2475

Spec: Bluray drive
36 month warranty
No O/S
Black tower
Primary SSD:1TB 840 Evo
Secondary SSD: 1TB 840 Evo
2 x GTX 780Ti

So to the questions:

1) Is the spec good for the money or would I be better off building one myself ( I have experience building but not with watercooling)?

2) Is there anything "round the corner" that might be worth waiting for? (before Xmas)

May I ask a few questions:

Is this your budget for the PC?
Is this going to be JUST for gaming?
What resolution monitor are you using/looking at using?
Are you wanting Watercooling? As its just the CPU watercooled you may aswell just use a CLC (AIO, like the H100i).

Only Haswell-E around the corner, I think that may be this year,t hat'll come with DDR4 RAM.

Budget is up to about £3200.
Uses: mainly gaming but virtulization as-well (so memory is quite important 32GB ideally).
Resolution: Currently 1920x1080, but it would be nice to upgrade to 4k over the next year.

I was under the impression that it was all watercooled :(. My last couple PC's/laptops were very noisy under load so ideally I want something almost silent under load.

As for the SSDs I was going to put them in a RAID 0 pack.

I haven't done any research on those is there any significant improvements?

thanks in advance.

The images and description make it clear that only the CPU is watercooled as standard. However, when I designed the system I imagined that some customers might want to watercool the graphics too. With that in mind, I selected a case that will easily accommodate an the extra radiator that we would need to cool the graphics cards too.

If you'd like a fully watercooled version we can pull that off with ease and I think we can do it within your budget.

As DS said, the only upcoming new technology is the X99, Haswell-E, DDR4 platform, although this is going to be very late in the year.

tbh with you we can build this to whatever specs you need if you don't feel comfortable putting the watercooling loop together, we have some very good watercooling specialists who do this sort of stuff all day, every day.

Apologies was quite tired when I was browsing.

ScottiB would you be able to provide me a quote with 32GB memory and a watercooled GPU alternative or shall I call/speak to you guys?

It's best to call our sales guys and discuss it with them. Call 01782 444455 and ask for Damien, he'll know what to do
