Im trying to use a custom paper size in powerpoint of 32cm wide x 90cm tall. Its so a member of staff can easily edit custom slides for a digital display.

Problem is powerpoint wont give me the actual size ive asked for, its nothing like it. its got extra margins that i cant get rid of. If insert a photo that i know is exact aspect ratio , its not, powerpoint is telling me its 90cm x 25cm when i know it isnt. if i stretch it what powerpoint thinks is 32cm its distorted.

yes i know i should be using DTP or Photo shop software, but most corporate latops dont have this. I have the feeling its just powerpoint is crap. If anyone knows different let me know

Works fine on 2010....
Just made a new file, then adjusted page sizes to 32cm x 90cm, left it on portrait and it was fine although I didn't go any further than setting it up.

As for the image ratio issue... it could be to do with the dpi versus points rather than the size, take a read of the below.

Also if the member of staff is supposed to be doing digital display imagery then they should be allowed to have the right software installed so they can do the job properly....

I setup the page and typed in the size in pixels instead of CM and it seems now to be the right aspect ratio
