What a riviting read

Look out for next months edition where the team put 10 of the most popular makes of Thumbscrews through their paces.

Also 11 7600gt's are given two pages each.

Dont miss 'Modding your Spiral wrap'

is it just me?

I thought it was very interesting to read and I am sure many others do as well. Their method of testing, not that I am an expert, made sense to me. Considering buying a Nexus fan now and putting it through its paces. Might replace all the fans in my rig if they are as good as what CPC say.

Thought it was pretty useful actually - Showed that Akasa 120mm ambers aren't actually that great compared to other 120mm fans. The Vantec stealth 120mm for example was shown to be more silent and better at moving air.

Cjay

Did they include the Yateloon 120mm?? Nexus is just a YateLoon wound down to 9v iirc...

Im not saying it wasnt usefull and im a fan of the mag (and have just ordered 2 x 120 Zalmans) but fans are not the sexiest pieces of kit so im just wondering what next weeks test will be.

Oh I see :p

I quite like the magazine - first choice for hardware reviews (in a magazine of course)

Well Custom PC is about the best modders mag IMO.

The tests and results really did open a eye to how bad manufactors can be when giving certain Specs to there Hardware.

Thumbscrews, Cant wait,hehe

whoa? people still buy that magazine?

Well sometimes people like to buy magazines to read for entertainment. They have the benefit also of being much more portable than any computer.

Its just every issue i've read they dont have a clue.

The overclocking guide was quality, didnt they put 1.9v through an A64? lol

you got one thing right - its certainly entertaining :)
