Custom resolutions in FEAR etc

I've searched but cant find it. I want to know how to set 1680x1050 in FEAR and every other game that doesnt support it. Especially those games that have a popup "setup" box where only 1600x1200 is shown.

For FEAR, go into the profiles folder (Mine is in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEAR") and edit the settings file. You can specify a non-standard resolution in there. Make it read only afterwards to prevent the game setting the resolution to something different and then saving it.

to get widescreen in the game ... Go to ...

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEAR

and edit the setting.cfg to the settings below. Adjust the HEIGHT and WIDTH to what you want

"GammaB" "1.000000"
"GammaG" "1.000000"
"GammaR" "1.000000"
"BitDepth" "32"
"HardwareCursor" "1.000000"
"ScreenWidth" "1440" ... or your desired widescreen resolution
"VSyncOnFlip" "0.000000"
"ScreenHeight" "900" ... or your desired widescreen resolution

IMPORTANT ...
If you go into the game and choose ... Options ... Display ... it will show up as 640x480 and then re-set it's self to this res. (So don't go into this option.)

If you go into the game and choose
... Options ... Performance ... Advanced Video Card Options ... Graphics ... it should show the correct res ... second from
bottom.

Thanks for that guys. If only toca 3 and X3 would run 1680x1050.

Toca 3 does natively :confused:

I run it in 1680x1050.

Ah yeah it was bloodrayne 2 that wouldnt sorry - head's messed up at the moment (bad head cold).
