Hey guys,

I have the Hannspree (HSG1164)...now i bought this second hand, however it does not have the original rom installed.

Heres the rom it has now-

Android Version 3.0.1
Kernel Version 2.6.32.46-cyanogenmod
Build Number - 10.1

I want to know if there's a way to update the rom on this tablet,to a better one that's currently on it,because this one has a lot of issues.

Play Store wont always load properly..all i get is (Loading) though sometimes it does load.

Also when i rotate the device vertical the screen does not rotate either like it should.

Another issue is "Twitch" app,Says my device isnt supported..which i cant believe because it has a nVidia Tegra II T20 1Ghz GPU which plays Youtube HD no problems.

I think the custom rom it currently has, must have been a early release version or something with a lot of problems.

Appreciate any help a lot,Thanks in advance guys.

From the looks of it, the tablet originally shipped with 2.2 Froyo. And it seems even then the stock firmwire seems pretty unreliable (and your android central thread also appeared on google :p). Seems like an unreliable device, and probably why the original owner flashed Cyanogenmod onto it (Although it's an old version).

Could check here for some help: http://www.slatedroid.com/forum/234-hannspree-hannspad/

Yeah they have not been much help at all on Slate droid, one guy keeps replying with a comment but doesn't go into detail what i have to do!

The tablets pretty much useless to me at the moment on this rom.

Could try getting a refund? No offence but it seems no matter what ROM you go with, there will be some problems with it.

Nah,I bought this ages ago from the MM here...there's nothing wrong with the tablet its actually very nice,Its just the version of android its running...new apps don't like it!

even Google wont let me sighn in now.

Well i contacted Hannspree repair dept,To see how much it would be for them to put the stock rom back on...They wanted £20 evaluation fee,Then an additional £20 for fixing it...then i have to pay the postage on top which recorded would cost about £7-8 making the total around £47-48 just to put a Rom back on it....silly,Obviously im not paying that.
