I am getting around to make the custom cables for my new build, but I am having a bit of trouble with the SATA power. I have some Mod/Smart connectors like the one in the picture below.
It is going to be a 90 degree end of cable connector. It is the only connector in this chain, coming directly from the PSU to power my single SSD.
How do you get it to bite the cable, is there a special technique to use? I am using 18AWG wire and it just doesn't seem to cut into the cable, more of crushes it.
