Hi Guys

All you have to do to win.

I am after some feedback from you lot on our peripheral range.

I want entants to do the following thing to enter into the competition:

1. Check over our full product range of all peripherals.
2. Tell us your thoughts on the range, what are we missing or does it meet your needs?
3. Is there any specific brands we do not list that you feel we should?

There are a couple of things that come to mind are : A better selection of chairs in the low - medium price range, also the lumbar, and neck pillows to go with the range you have now ( I think you had them at one point ? ) To go with the chairs a small selection of desks, that way with the chairs, it would be a one stop shop, for all your needs.
 
Have you ever stocked tools and handy gadgets that assist in putting systems together? For instance, screwdrivers, anti-static wristbands, magnetic screw holders etc? Maybe even a cheap kit for new starters with some basic tools, or kits to aid in setting up water cooling (cutting tubing to the needed length for instance).

I suppose a lot of this would potentially be easily sourced on the high street, so maybe only concentrate on the hard-to-source, more unusual gadgets that are only available online.
 
I have allways been able to find what I need in this section. I think it would be nice to have more gadgets to place on a desk that we can just add onto larger orders for fun.

like the USB version Arctic Breeze mobile is really cool with on a keyboard which has a usb port on the back like a k70

Although the last time I looked I could not locate any palm rests - cheaper/oem versions of ducky and filco leather minimalisic leather ones would be nice possibly. I ended up getting one from china and its much nicer than the plastic one that comes with the k70.

Well apart from the lack of Logitech products (I am aware of the history and understand) the only additional things I can think of would be.

Track IR, would be nice if you could arrange a good price for these but I understand they are rather challenging to deal with and not very flexible.

Desks, I know shipping would be an issue but one of the more common questions you see its about desks and options. again it may not be something you can compete with against the likes of IKEA but as you seem to be moving into more business offering then maybe its something to consider, SOHO furniture.

A word of caution the OCUK Brand is one I associate with quality and flooding the site with other products that don't fit that image would not be a good idea.

The old Powerball and car wax things spring to mind I never got why they were here.
 
There is increasing or rejuvinated interest in space flight sims / combat with games such as Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen etc.

For those looking beyond a simple joystick, many game controllers are quite specific add ons for an aircraft flight sim. There is perhaps a lack of choice HOTAS type product for use in space, other than Saitek stuff, or a very basic or exorbitant Thustmaster. Some of the CH Products might be worth a look?
 
Things I'm glad to see that thought you wouldn't sell:
- O-Rings
- Security locks

Things I would like to see:
- Mionix 8200
- Glass surfaces, can't find a replacement for my aging Icemat
- Saitek X-65F
- Logitech G27
- A couple of 7.1 surround offerings, perhaps Creative and another
- Some chairs with arms that don't restrict leg width (i.e. arms mount nearer or on the back) and more height backrests (80-90cm)
- wristdonut
- Ergodex DX1 and accessories
- Wider range of headsets/headphones

There is a nice range a mice and gaming keyboards. But there is no logitech g502(mouse) and logitech g430(headset) which I really wanted so I had to buy it from a different shop. I think there should be a bigger range in logitech.

I would certainly say a greater range of tech gadgets, especially on the drone front. For example you have no entry models such as the hubsan x4; and moving forwards I think it will be fairly big market and something some of your competitors already stock.
 
Been said already however my thoughts:

A wider selection of chairs without the gimmicky gamer bs.

Tables of various descriptions, including PC mod ones that are not massively overpriced (for what they are) and with some cable management

Networking bits
 
I would like to see some decent rubber dome gaming keyboard along with a full Logitech range of kit.

Stocking Gamdias would be worth considering as some of the kit they have is very different to anything out. I recently bough a keyboard and mouse and they are both very good.

Having a think about OcUK pricing would be a good idea, as you are not very competitive on peripherals.

One thing that recently sprung to mind that I've been mulling over and that is getting some Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones. (A side note, I nearly missed non gamer headphones and also microphones as they are both somewhat hidden under the personal audio and HiFi section.)

Video capture cards? I know there are external ones as well as PCI-E ones (I've been window shopping for the latter which doesn't really fall under peripherals but external ones would imo).

As mentioned above, Audio Technica.

You may want to look at Samson branded mics, that's what I went for some years ago as it had better reviews than the Blue branded stuff at the time. I don't know the current situation with regards to how those brands compare as I've not needed to shop for either since. Do you sell pop screens?

I'm a bit surprised you don't stock Logitech (though reading previous posts seem there is some history). I've been a long time Logitech mouse user, currently have their illuminated keyboard and the c920 webcam really doesn't have much competition on the market in terms of quality.
 
After just getting some new A50s, I'd highly recommend getting Astro into your product range. they are regarded as the best gaming headset on the market for a reason wither this be PC or console. While they are expensive they do sell.

The only other brand I think that would sell well is good old faithful Logitech, I know when I asked in the past about them you had problems with them so stopped stocking them. But they are a fan favourite and do all price points. I think they would also be a big boost, I know I love Logitech mice.

Otherwise, I believe you already have the best keyboard on the market (Ducky range). And there really isn't anything else you don't sell. Be it Microphones, DAC's ect. Its a very well worked range.
 
Just to add my 2 cents.
I was looking to get a more professional keyboard and mouse - not really gamer related but more comfortable and ergonomically designed. I had a low budget and in the end went for an anker wireless mouse off another well known warehouse site for around a tenner. Also looking at a wireless backlit keyboard - again not for gaming, more for general typing. Something like a logitec k810? Your office keyboard range is limited to 4 devices!
In terms of sounds, I think you guys have it nailed, good range, competitive prices and some good companies in there.

Looked through the whole range.

More studio / recording options. Lots of enthusiasts have home studios. KRK monitors would be a good brand. They're considered serious studio kit and start at v reasonable prices.
 
Just had a look through the range of peripherals and honestly, I think you guys have already got a pretty damn good variety of peripherals, certainly more than most other UK etailers! Just a shame that you no longer have any Logitech products (I know the reasons) as they are extremely good products with good customer service + pretty good pricing

If possible, I would suggest trying to be a bit more competitive on the pricing front though.
 
RANGE
Is pretty good for now, but - personally - I'd love to see some extraordinary stuff that other competitors don't sell. Well... frankly and truly - maybe it's what nobody sells (now).
* 3D printers - I can find filaments only, but wouldn't be good to buy whole set (printer + filament) here ?
* printers... but I don't mean extremely insane range of them, like found in Tesco, ASDA, PC World etc = all together, but some really special models. Do you remember Citizen Printiva model ? I know it's gone, but later OKI probably bought a license and was selling it under new name. "Special" in this printer was printing technique (dry ink) and incredible shades impossible to print @ other printers. Metallic gray (silver), or gold = it's just an example, but the most useful thing that Printiva/OKI could do was... printing in WHITE, It's ridiculous nowadays when you try to find anybody who prints for you anything you need with white ink - because there's lack of such. All printers just leave empty space in place of white colour just because paper you use is white... but change paper to yellow, red or blue and your printouts looks terrible. Or try to make own white keyboard letters (decals) on transparent foil... Fail :/ So maybe there are similar printers somewhere around the world = worth to try ?
* amBX (still Philips ?) - probably majority of PC users are not aware there's such "gadget", so why to buy it elsewhere, if OcUK can deliver it and promote in own sections ? :)



SPECIFIC BRANDS
* SilentiumPC - with Polish (UE) certificate, so UE-ready :) Many happy users within range of:
- computer cases,
- power supplies,
- CPU cooling
= all with good price. Some other minor products available.

* GoodRam - another brand from Poland (owner: Wilk Electronics), really worth to try for the same reason. Mainly makes
- RAMs,
- SSDs
and some other stuff as well. Good to know is the fact every single RAM stick is finally inspected by hand.

* MDPC-X - well known German quality regarding to braiding (sleeving). I think many users would appreciate their products being sold directly in OcUK.

.. it's all what I've got in my mind for now.
