Yoyos are crap and a joke

Basically I sent a P5k-E back to an e-tailer due to it not working, and they said it has bent socket pins.

The reason I'm enquiring is that a started a thread a while ago about my P5k-E going wrong:-

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...php?t=17856067

The e-tailer says my Asus warranty and subsequently their warranty is voided due to the said bent pins - Is that acceptable, as ocuk have replaced mobos that have had physical damage no questions asked (cpu retention bracket broke).

Also the mobo suddenly deteriated after about a week or two, so surely if I bent the pins when fitting the cpu it wouldn't have worked period?!?! Unless the pins were bent when I removed the cpu - how?!?!

I told them that I was having having issues before I even removed the cpu, and I asked as the warratny was voided could they starighten the pins, and see if it still doesn't work, but they still refused - would take them about 10mins:mad:

Backing up their claim that my warranty was voided is that in the mobo manual, it states that bent pins void the warranty, I have looked in two different Asus manuals and can't find that?

However they are shipping it back to me (for free - only good outcome so far), so basically assuming that it was just the bent pins, could I straighten them out, and then say try to return it again in a coupkle of months?!?!?

Any advice please

LESSON LEARNT, BUY FROM OCUK;)

Yeah sounds like a right bunch of cowboys, of course retailers do have to prevent against fraud, ask for a copy of the manual that states it (surely they can only hold you to what's stated in the manual received, it's no good telling you that a manual totally unrelated to you says that...)

I wouldn't suggest bending them back and sending again, i'm sure they'll log you/serial number for future reference.
