Hi,
I have 3 users that use my PC (me plus 2 others). I like a clean clutter free start menu and when one of the other users installs a program it puts shortcut to it in my start menu. How do I stop it from doing this? i.e. when I make changes to the start menu (add/delete shortcuts) its does it ONLY to the start menu in my profile.

Does that make sense?

Edit the start menu folder at \Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu that way those shortcuts will only be on your start menu and not anyone elses.

If the program installs the shortcut to the All Uers folder then everyone will see it.

Click Start - right click All Programs - click Open All Users. Move unwanted shortcuts to the start menus of users who do want them- \Users\TheirUserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
