Customs tariff on laptop?

Hello, I'm a uk resident currently making a long holiday in Italy at family.

This one deal has caught my eyes since before i left, and noticed that by having it sent to Italy, the price falls to £ £1,533.37 including the extra delivery charge.

I'm presuming something happening with the VAT or customs, and will be put back on at somepoint, I'm assuming. (or not ? can I get some clarity here? )

Should I proceed with this order being sent to Italy, how much would the actual true total be, inb4 avoiding funny phonecalls and unexpected charges from customs?

VAT at the local rate on both the item and the delivery charge will be added before you receive the laptop. The VAT plus a handling charge will probably be demanded by the delivery agent. As VAT in Italy is 22% your plan will cost you considerably more than buying it here.
