OK folks,

I want to buy a large mouse mat, I'm thinking about buying this one.

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK Mega Mat XXL Elite Tactical Gaming Surface ** IN STOCK ** £13.98
Total : £17.89 (includes shipping : £3.26).

Trouble is, its too wide for my desk (by about 2").

Has anyone here cut one of these to fit their desk & if so did you use scissors or a stanley knife & steel ruler.

Also did the edge curl up after a while.

Reason I'm asking is my old everglade titan has had its day & I want a bigger mouse mat anyway, but I can't find a mouse mat wide enough.

Thanks & Merry Xmas. :D

If it is cloth on rubber, I would imagine it to curl over time unless you could add extra glue or something over the cut to hold it.

I know foam ones are bad, not too sure about rubber.

They come with plain cut edges, so there's no reason why trimming one down would cause any problems. Good scissors or a sharp knife and straightedge would make easy work of it.

It's a fair bit more than that, I've just measured the desk width & its 77cm wide (I thought it was more than that TBH).

That's one annoying size to play with when purchasing a mat.
The two universal large sizes you get is 450 or 850/900

Lemme see some guides on shortening mouse pads.

You're correct. Both had the desired result & here it is in situ.

I had to trim about 4" off the side, I can't RMA it now.:o

For everyone's info, the OCUK mouse mats can be cut to size quite easily with the right tools.
