I have a NZXT Hue http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-115-NX&tool=3

It comes with a about 2 metre LED strip that was way too long for my case so I risked cutting about 1.5 foot off of it along a point where it had a few solder lines and says +GRB, it worked, but it's still about 6 inchs too long, and the next point it says +GRB is going to be too much to cut off.

So would anyone know if I can cut it other places without it killing all or some of the LED's I want to keep.

Thanks.

If it looks anything like this then those points are the only places you can cut without modifying the circuit

Even then it might be a job getting it working, probably better off hiding the excess imo

Yes don't even try and cut anywhere but the prescribed areas. RGB just makes things do much more complicated.

Oh well, my case has one of those spare vertical addon slots and that has a hole big enough for the strip to go through, so I've put in there and out down the back of the case, so I have 3 LEDS giving light at the back.

Thanks for the heads up guys.
