hi, what is a good piece of software for cutting a single mp3 to a high standard, but also easy to use and understand for a new user

I use Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer. Couldn't be simpler.

ive been looking into sony vegas is that better?

Never used it. Acoustica is so easy, just drag where you want to cut, copy and paste it. Too simple.
